These trips do not require any previous kayaking experience, but y ou must know how to swim. We will teach you kayaking basics and how to re-enter your kayak prior to getting on the water.

Our Guides:
Paddle Sports employs and trains friendly outdoor professionals that specialize in leading and teaching groups of kayakers with little or no experience.

Kids:
We can accomodate all ages over 5. Children under 12 will be in tandem kayaks with their parent or guardian for the duration of the trip.

Overview Group Events

Paddle Sports offers kayak tours from either Refugio or El Capitan State Beaches.  These two beaches offer excellent kayaking with abundant sea life.  Numerous species of marine mammals have been spotted while kayaking through the lush kelp beds.  Gray whales, bottlenose dolphins, sea otters, sea lions and harbor seals frequent these coastal areas.

We schedule these kayak trips to depart from the beach at 9:00 AM to avoid afternoon winds.  Paddle Sports can provide a catered lunch upon request for an additional fee.
 
All participants must know how to swim.
