Why take a class?

Kayaking is a core sport. Wondering what that means? You definitely need to take this class!

Sea kayaking is a great way to get in shape and explore the coastal waters of this world. Many people take interest in kayaking for a variety of reasons. Whatever your reason might be, you have gotten this far, and taking a class on the fundamentals of this sport will be the best thing you can do to advance your interest.

Whether this is your first time in a sea kayak, or you have tried sea kayaking before, this course will give you the tools to safely, efficiently, and confidently enjoy sea kayaking on your own.

You will be taught in closed deck (sit-inside) sea kayaks in the calm and protection of the Santa Barbara Harbor. All of the gear you will need to participate in this class is provided, but we recommend learning in your own gear, or the gear you will be paddling with on a regular basis. So if you have it, bring it along!
