Frenchy's Cove is located on the West End of Anacapa Island.  This trip offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the rarely seen caves, caverns and coves of a seldom visited area of Anacapa Island.  We will depart out of Oxnard Harbor aboard the "Vanguard", the Island Packers ferry that will take us to Frenchy's Cove for a day of Kayaking, Snorkeling, and exploring.

Once at the island, we will don our wetsuits aboard the boat, and skiff to Frenchy's beach to receive instructions on sea cave exploration, basic paddling skills, and safety.  We will pack our lunches into dry bags and head out, exploring the natural mystery of the sea caves and arches from atop kayaks.  We will paddle over the lush kelp forests, beautiful and flourishing eelgrass beds, and view the scenic and towering cliffs, which provide an excellent habitat for sea stars and other marine life along the waterline. Along the way our guides act as natural history interpreters, informing you about the geology, plant, animal, marine life, and the history of Anacapa Island as well as the other Channel Islands.
